I have filled ST-1 online for registration of an institute run by me as a proprietorship now i have received st-2 but that is in my name and not in the name of institute.
plz tell why so if its wrong then plz tell whats the right way to do it.

you might have mention in ST-1 name of the applicant as proprietor name. contact your Service tax range office and get permission from your Service tax Inspector and apply for amendment

but if i write name of institute in name of applicant then after that i have to also give PAN of applicant in this should i write my pan

you have to apply for amendment with a govt document in name of institute showing yourself as proprietor, ( trade licence copy preferred)

you can give the institute name and while giving the business status proprietor, it will take PAN as owner name. apply for the amendment
