17 September 2009 Respected sirs,

Service tax credit taken is only for inward freight, but we are not service tax credit taken for Outward freight. why is payable service tax for outward freight. Kindly Suggestion in this regarding.

28 October 2009 Service tax paid on outward freight upto the place of removal in case of depot sale is also allowed. Recent judgements have also allowed credit of service tax paid on outward freight incase of FOR sale.However the picture not entirely clear.
