I Paid Self Assessment Tax For the A Y-2016-17 Instead of A Y-2018-19. Please give the Valuable Suggestion who to Correct the Challan A Y.

You need to apply to the bank within 7 days of erroneous payment for the correction, by making a written application in case the payment has been made physically or to the jurisdictional ITO for payment beyond 7 days.. In another case of online payment you need to make application to the jurisdictional ITO for correction of the mistake.
