One of our client receive the salary of her deceased husband from the employee without any work under which head of income tax this salary is taxable

It is also taxable under the head salary as family pension.

If husband worked for organisation during that financial year, the same salary will be taxable under the head Income from salaries that for that particular financial year. .
After death , any amount received by wife by way of family pension, that will be taxable under the head income from Other sources. However deduction u/s 56(iia) allowed lower of 1/3 of pension or RS.15000.
