What is time limit for filing correction statement of tds and what are pre conditions.

24 September 2011 No time limit fixed for correcting the TDS return, if you have any mistakes in returns you can download the consolidated FVU file from NSDL website and correct the return

24 September 2011 Sir Pls guide the details process of same. i.e what are these fvu or rpu file. how we make use of them in correcting the returns.

24 September 2011 Rpu means Return preparation utility and FVU means the file format which you uploaded the original return to NSDL website, in NSDL website through your TIN registration you can download the file which filed earlier, get that FVU file and correct the return through RPU or your own TDS software
