For AY 2011-12 I have to upload a rectified xml file. I had used ITR4 and I have the original xml file saved.

What I want to know is do I have to fill up the whole ITR4 again after corrections, convert it to XML and then upload. Is there any simpler way of using the old xml file to genereate a return based on old date and the edit that.

21 May 2012 If you have the original excel file, then you can make the required changes in it, generate a new xml file and uplaod the same.

If you have only the original xml file, then you will have to again fill the whole ITR.
