10 June 2009 Query (Urgent) : Whether a Service Tax Return filed belatedly on say 30.04.09 is eligible for a Revised Return now with inclusion of Service Tax Payment and interest thereon. Thanks for your response..

My view is belated ST-3 can't be revised. Because ST-3 filed under rule 7 only can be revised under rule 7B of Service tax Rules,1994.

10 June 2009 Mr.Chackrapani, In my opinion belated ST-3 return can also be revised under rule 7B because belated ST-3 alongwith late fees is also filed under rule 7 r.w.s 70(1) of the finance act 1994.
