11 September 2012 Hey frnds one of my uncle have filed return for AY 2011-12 within the time limit , he had a TDS on salary of Rs.2500/- out of which he claimed Rs.600/( and he got the refund of rs600 on 3 may2012)- as his income was above the limit.
he had taken housing loan 3 yrs back for the home in which he is staying now but he forgot to show loss on housing property for AY2011-12.
My query is can he revise his return now and claim housing loss after which he can claim full rs.2500/- as refund for AY2011-12 knowing that he have already got rs.600 as refund for the AY2011-12 on 3may2012.

11 September 2012 Since the Assessee has already got the refudn and the assessment is completed.
It is not possible to revise the return.

11 September 2012 Thanks for the answer but are you sure sir becoz one of my CA frnd have told me Refund does not means that assessment have been completed you can fle till 1 yr frm the end of assessment year or when assessment get complete whichever is early.
