12 June 2012 Dear Experts,
1)If a woman who got retired on june 2011 at the age of 60, will she be the senior citizen for the assesment year 2012-13?
2)She has Salary income, Income from other sources as her heads of income whats the return to be filed?

13 June 2012 1. Senior citizen means a person who is of the age of 60 years or more at ANY TIME DURING the year

Since the woman has attained the age of 60 years during the year, she is a senior citixen for AY 12-13.

2. ITR 1 is to be filed.
