21 May 2012 An assessee was filing I.t.returns regularly during f.y. 2008-09 he had gone to abroad for education purpose, by which he was enable to file I.T. return for F.Y. 2007-08, 2008-09, and 2009-10. When he came back to india he had asked to a tax filer to file his IT return, the tax filer has filed the IT return for the F.Y. 2008-09 and 2009-10 but forgot to file 2007-08 IT return.
Whether now we can file his IT return for the f.Y. 2007-08 there was an taxable income in that financial year also, T.D.S. was deducted on the same.
kindly suggest for the same on

21 May 2012 The return for AY 2008-09 (FY 2007-08) is time barred and cannot be filed now.

There is no option available to the assessee.
