ITR for AY 2011-12 can be filed till 31.03.2013.
However penalty of Rs. 5,000 may be levied u/s 271F.

The last date was 31.08.2012 but you can file the same as Belated return till 31.3.2013

Dear Sanyam the due date for AY 2011-12 was 1.8.2011.
31.8.2012 was the due date for AY 2012-13.
31.8.2012 was the due date for AY 2012-13.

Most probably penalty will not be levied in a refund case.
