10 February 2012 The correct invoice wording is TAX INVOICE.. retail invoice is not technically correct.. the permitted axioms are TAX INVOICE and BILL OF SALE..

10 February 2012 There is a concept of 'retail invoice' and 'tax invoice' in VAT act of certain states. For example in KERALA 'retail invoice' is isssued by a registered dealer to the end user of the goods (purchaser having no VAT registration). On the other hand 'tax invoice' is issued by a registed dealer to another registered dealer.
