24 April 2014 Hello Experts..
My query is whether Managerial remuneration or incentives paid to directors liable for service tax..and is there is any different provisions for whole time director ,executive director and non-executive, independent directors?

24 April 2014 No Service Tax will b applicable on Director's fees or Managerial remuneration.

24 April 2014 Thank you sir..but if remuneration or incentives given to independent director is liable for a tax..as one of the source i read that for whole time director there is employee-employer relation so its not liable for service tax but whats about non-executive or independent director?

24 April 2014 It is also not liable for ST.
