Dear Sir,
An assesse who has two tractor trolly, want start his own transport. For this he has to registered on gst portal as normal tax payer or there is another section for transporters?
What is the tax liability of transporters ?
Waiting for your precious advise.

No need to register under GST except he will act A GTA...
Nil rated / Exempted service by road transport :
***Services by way of transportation of goods-
(a) by road except the services of
� (i) a goods transportation agency;
(ii) a courier agency;
(b) by inland waterways. Explanation.-
�goods transport agency
� means any person who provides service in relation to transport of goods by road and issues consignment note, by whatever name called.
