i want to know that if i do payment for tds on mercantile basis then cash or credit which ever is earlier concept follows in books but if i used to do payment in cash basis then how it will be treated? plz reply me as soon as possible, i will be thankful to you.

24 February 2012 Tds is not appliacble on accounting basis whether its cash or accrual basis, tds is always applicable on cash or credit which ever is earlier

24 February 2012 TDS deduction not affected by accounting method.
Always credit or cash whichever is earlier, except sec 192.
