19 October 2012 Dear All,Please tell m if an employee worked in A Company for 9 months and his salary exceed Rs.12 Lacks in A.Y 12-13 so his taxable slab is above Rs.8 Lackh and he worked in another company and his salary for 3 months is Rs.5.13 lacks then plz tell m that his tax slab of salary of Co.B.

19 October 2012 One person cannot have different income tax slabs. for all kinds of income from all the sources a person can have only one slab.

19 October 2012 the income is taken in aggregate. i.e annual income..slabs are not different for different employers..since his aggregate income the year is exceeding the 8 lakhs,he will be subject to tax accordingly.

19 October 2012 Dear......Tax will calculated on total received salary according to slab rate which is as below...

upto 180000 Nil
180000 to 500000 10%
500000 to 800000 20%
above 800000 30%
