27 December 2011 SIR,

I had received the intimation u/s 143(1) by CPC Bangalore for the asst.year 2009-10.CPC has disallowed the depreciation claimed in the return. Bucause I have not filled the return correctly in the deprecitation coloumn. then can u explain me for that purpose which option i apply for filing rectification return one has the "assesse data correction" and another is " seeking correction in ITR processing. Please reply me.

27 December 2011 Since you have made a mistake in filling up the ITR, you will have to select the option "assessee data correction".

28 December 2011 Seeking correction in ITR processing is to be selected when credit of TDS/TCS/Advance tax/self assessment tax has not been given to the assessee.
