27 November 2014 My client had filed the return for the assessment year 2009-10 and by mistake he didn,t claim deduction under income tax return whereas in form 16 , deduction was taken for calculation of income tax.
Now in 2014-15, my client got to know that the demand was raised by Income Tax Department dated 13-12-2010 for assessment year 2009-10.
So my question , is there any way to rectify that demand order and if please suggest me as soon as possible ?

27 November 2014 the ans is no as rectification can be made within 4 years only and in ur case its over by 31.3.2014

27 November 2014 Dear Tushar, demand order was issued in the dec,2010 that is financial year 2010-11
So I can file the rectification order within four year i.e till 31-03-2015?

27 November 2014 ok yes i checked it if order was passed in fy 2010-11 then ur time limit is 4 years from end of FY in which order sought to be ammended was passed i.e it comes 31.3.2015
