Rectification from wrong intimation order/rectification u/s

12 February 2011 Hi,
I have filed return for AY 2010-11 online with full details of tax deducted. TDS details also tallied with 26 AS and claimed properly.

Now I had received intimation from CPC banglore raising demand on me. On going through intimation, I found that Income decalred by me was accepted by the CPC but tax credit has not been given fully to me. Partial credit has been given to me.

I am salaried person and there is no other income. I had checked with my Company TAN number which is exactly matching with 26 AS details.

Query is :-
a. What is the next step to rectify the same.?
b. Is it to go for rectification, if so than how since there is no discrepancy in the return?

please advice at the earliest.

I did try the same but since my TDS details as per FORM 16 vis a vis 26 AS tally but CPC (banglore) has given only part credit and raised demand for the balance amount.

As mentioned in reply need to refer point 4 which says to rectify the return because of error. But there is no error in the return which is also confirmed in intimation where they have given comparision details uploaded in return and computed by CPC, Banglore.

Pls do suggest further course of action to be taken and to avoid any penal action. Is it ok to file letter to CPC Baglore mentioning the above defect and giing details for rectification?
