I have query related to whether Independent additional woman Director's appointment should be recommended by Nomination and remuneration committee in the listed Company.

an early reply would be of immense help to me.

07 February 2015 It is not mandatory.

However normally terms of reference of nomination and remuneration committee is to identify persons who are qualified to become directors and who may be appointed in senior management in accordance with the criteria laid down and to recommend to the Board their appointment and/ or removal.
