hi,
i'm about register for vat. CA has asked me to prepare 2 DD's; one of rs.25000/- & second of rs.5000/-. my query is can i also register for cst along with vat or should i prepare a third DD for it. if i should, how much would be the amount. thanks.

You can make application for CST along with MVAT Application.
Then in that case you have to submit 2 DD's of Rs.25000/- & 5025/-.( I am talking about Maharashtra State for any other states you can contact to the concerned Sales Tax office of that particular state)
