16 November 2011 Q. X Assessee has filed the ITR 4 online and there is some error occurred during the efiling accordingly Gross Total Income has been changed in the ITR acknowledgement generated during the efiling Compared to Computation of Total Income. However, the Tax Calculation and Income Tax details are same as per Computation of Total Income. The error occurred due to Depreciation on Certain assets are not reflected in ITR 4. What are the procedure to rectify the mistake because when I contact to Local Income Tax Office they have told me that we can not change the Income because we have not having any authority because you have efiled the ITR and I have contact to CPC Bangalore regarding this matter then they have told me that please submit the ITR4 Manual copy duly rectified accordingly local officer will do is it ok or not. or if there is any procedure for rectification please advise me .
