My brother has been depositing in her child PPF account Rs. 10000 to 15000 per month my query is that can he pay Rs. 100000 in this F,Y. 2011-12 so that he can claim deduction under section 80C.

The total amount deposited in the PPF a/c during the year should not exceed Rs. 1 lakh. Deduction of full Rs. 1 lakh shall be allowed.
