In maharashtra salary less than Rs.5000 NIl
More than 5000 less than 10000 Rs. 175
More than 10000 Rs. 2500 for the whole year to be collected as Rs. 200 every month and Rs. 300 in feb

### **Tamil Nadu Professional Tax Slab Rates for FY 2010-11**
- **Salary up to ₹3,000 per month:**
- **No Professional Tax**
- **Salary from ₹3,001 to ₹6,500 per month:**
- **₹120 per annum**
- **Salary from ₹6,501 to ₹10,000 per month:**
- **₹240 per annum**
- **Salary above ₹10,000 per month:**
- **₹600 per annum**
These slabs applied to individual employees and were meant for calculating the annual professional tax liability based on the gross monthly salary.
