18 July 2007 Hi,

Can a C.A. (not in Practice) & not holding COP join a Company as a Consultant and show his income as a Professional fees for Income Tax purpose.

18 July 2007 If u have a COP and u dont intend to practice better surrender it and get into industry. and u 'll be assessed under head Salary if u have employee and employer relationship.

(1) but my question is whether a CA not in practice (not holding COP) can join a company as a Consultant, if he is given an option by the employer. Also has no intention to do practice.
