Individual receipt of rent from individual so is there need to affix revenue stamp on receipt transaction between individual to individual above rs 5000

For an individual-to-individual rent payment exceeding ₹5,000 in cash, a ₹1 revenue stamp must be affixed to the receipt and signed across by the landlord. This is essential for the receipt to be legally valid and to ensure your HRA tax claims are accepted. No stamp is needed for digital or cheque payments.
