12 February 2010 Can anyone tell me what are the new slabs of profession tax?
whether PVT co & its directors are also required to pay PT.? If yes then please tell the amount.

12 February 2010 Professional Tax is levied by States. Please specify the state and then we will try to provide the rates of that state.

Yes Pvt. Co. and Directors are also required to pay PT.

For Companies registered under the Companies Act, 1956 and engaged in any profession, trade or calling. - Rs 2,500 p.a

Directors (other than those nominated by Government) of Companies registered under the Companies Act, 1956, - Rs 2500 p.a
