08 September 2011 my client want to take franchisee of reputed courier company which require service tax registration so please tell me procedure and document require,my client is individual and where to submit this document as clint in small village of jamnagar dist. of gujarat state

08 September 2011 service tax registration presently can be taken online please register in www.aces.gov.in website service tax options

once you register you will get the user name & password for filling ST-1 online. login and fill the ST-1, Since the individual business it can be mentioned as individual name and PAN can be the owner PAN can be produced. id proof can be given local authority licence & address proof is the business place address proof.once fill the ST-1 online can be submitted and take one copy print out of the same and submit to the service tax department with the ID&Address proofs.once verification over you can get the ST-2 registration certificate by 7 to 10 days

ST-2 First you will receive by mail only, after the you need to take the print out of the ST-2 and get it signed and stamped by the service tax department
