07 November 2009 How to deduct Pro rate basic for moisture in coal. Allowed moisture is 7.5/% actual moisture is 8.76% Rate for Coal per Mt is Rs 2300/-

07 November 2009 The price of Rs2300/- is for coal having 7.5% moisture if the moisture content exceeds 7.5% the pro-rata adjustment is made in the price because u are paying for more water content. Therefore the price will be Rs2300/- less 1.76% of Rs2300/- i.e. Rs2300/-minus Rs40.48 = Rs2259.52
