Preconstruction period interest

This query is : Resolved

18 June 2015 Hi,

I am owning a flat and got the possession 2 years back. So, since last 2 years I am claiming pre-construction period interest while filing my IT return
I know that we can claim pre-construction period interest for consecutive 5 years.
But what if I sell my flat?
If I sell my flat in this year, then would I be able to claim the pre-construction period interest for remaining 3 years?

Please answer. Thanks.

18 June 2015 If house is sold before five years then no claim shall be available as there will no house property.
