hi i am a newly practising CA. But i dont have any links and i dont have any clientle than how can i practice in the city. does website or advertisement would help me.

I think you know the advertisement restriction to CAs (now relaxed very much) but not very helpful.
As I have started practice last year (2008), as per my experience please introduce himself with the businessman in the city and tell them about yourself. You can also join the clubs in the city where you can meet the peoples. Also meet the CA firms in your city and tell them if they have some work and wants to outsource then he is available.
To establish yourself in this profession, it will take time. You have to take patience.

Dear Gaurav,
the same probelm i have faced in the begning of my career.
Be determined, energetic, if you have no contact, so start aking contacts.
Take CA directory of your city, contact few of them and tell about you and ask for some work or any type of service which you can provide to them.
Go and spend some time in income tax and sales tax office.

Knowledge- acquire knowledge. Aquire more and more knowledge, deeper knowledge of the area you want to practice in.
Express it in various forums, journals, friends and colleagues.
