PF Contribution

This query is : Resolved

29 October 2008 Is it possible that PF can be contributed in 1 month when salary is paid & not contributed in another month assuming that the employee gets salary in the month in which he works.

For eg say in April "A" an employer has an employee "B". B gets salary (& contribution to PF) in april as the employers has work. However A does not have any work in May. As such he does not pay any salary to B in may. Can he avoid paying salary (& contribution to PF) to B in may. B agrees to this.

30 October 2008 PF liability comes along with Salary liability.

30 October 2008 So it means that when salary is not paid PF contribution is also avoided.

In the eg above A can do as such & justified in doing so!

30 October 2008 Yes of course, when there is no salary liability no PF liability.

30 October 2008 Thank u
