14 May 2011 a husband who died in jan.2011, state govt employee and his all cummuted & uncumuted pension comes in wifes bank account, so whether commuted & Uncommuted pension is taxable in the hands of wife and there is any necessary about to file the return of the husband

14 May 2011 as per section 159 the legal heirs wld be taxed in the manner in which deceased wld have been taxed
commuted pension wld be exempt under section 10(10A)
uncommuted pension will be taxed
