Penalty for late tds return

Dear sir,
we have deduct tds for client Rs.5000/- and deposite same day (dt 14.04.09) till now we did not file the tds return.
Is there any penalty for non filing for tds return and how much.
Pls clarify

Yes penalty is Rs 100 per day for not filing TDS return within due date...
Say you file return 5 days after due date so penalty is Rs 500/-
But have not seen many cases of imposing such penalty..
