Is there a penalty in case wrong PAN no. has been furnished in the income tax return? For example I am filing my incometax return and i have furnished wrong PAN no. of mine...

It is a violation of section 139(5)(a) for which penalty of Rs.10,000/- is prescribed in section 272B(1) of the IT Act,1961.
