20 July 2011 We are a printing company and take goods transport service from unregistered transporters and pay service tax on behalf of such transporters. Now we want to know that whether we should pay the service tax immediately on booking the bill or whether we should make the service tax payment later when we actually pay the bill.

Please provide any reference in this relation.

20 July 2011 From 1/7/2011 service tax payment,in your case, should be based on the date of booking the bill.
However the system of quarterly payments of service tax in case of non corporates and monthly payment for corporates are not changed.
