can anyone pls tell that the income from sale of a prototype is a operating income or non-operating.

09 August 2014 depends on what your business is. if you are into research, sale of proto-type shall also be included in operating income

one more thing.. is amortisation of design and development expense is an operating expense, if i am in a business of designig and developing machinery.

10 August 2014 you need the assets to run the business...such expenses are covered as operating expenses. Thats the simplest explanation..
