Hi, I am a journalist and I have moved to USA from India a few months back. I will be an NRI as per Income Tax Act in the financial year 2010-2011. I have an offer from an Indian media company to provide services for their website. I will be reporting on events happening in USA (of interest to NRI readers) on their website and will be on contract.
I would like to know:
1. If my income earned would be deemed to have accrued in India or in USA?
2. What will be the taxability for FY 2010-11
3. Should I receive the income in USA bank account or in India bank account?

Your income is related to print media.
1. your income would be treated to arise in USA.
2. No taxability in INdia.
