One my clients Having Capitalgain income on sale of Residential house,sale proceeding she wants to take it out side the country.
Dear experts pls advice me
1.How to get tax benefit on capitalgain
2.Procedure to take the sale proceedings from india to usa
3.Sale proceedings amount Rs.3.5cr.
4.She is an NRI
5.COA 1970 is 100000 only.
6.exemption like 54ec,54a...etc can she avail.????

12 December 2014 She can invest in house property out of the proceeds of the capital gain OR she can invest in Capital Gain Bonds to avail the benefits.

12 December 2014 you have to calculate the capital gain

using the index for the related year.
and if you want to use the u/s 54

then your tax will exempt otherwise you have to pay tax.
