i was wondering ...what can a assessee do in case the notice of demand is lost and he intends to file an appeal (which requires the attachment of Notice demand) .
Can he request for a duplicate copy from the concrned officer?

Just write a letter to the assessing officer...he will provide you the duplicate copy of notice of demand
