Non receipt of intimation u/s 143(1) from cpc

31 August 2011 I have not received received intimation from CPC u/s 143(1). However, from department I have taken a printout of the processing screen showing that return has been processed and a demand of Rs.3.85 lacs has been raised while not allowing the TDS. I have to file rectification application in CPC. which can only be done online. I have not received intimation u/s 143(1) from the department, what to do ?

01 September 2011 Write a letter to CPC Banglore and you will get it then only you can file online rectification. You can also file rectification manually on the basis of the intimation as collected by you.

Pl note that in case of original return is filed electronically, rectification return under section 154 of the Income tax Act,1961 also should be ,necessarily, filed on line. Pl see note 4 given in intimation under section 143(1) of the said act.
