20 April 2009 Would like to know what is the rate of service tax to be charged by an IATA air Ticketing agent after the reduction of service tax to 10%.

20 April 2009 General rate is 10.30% OR
Option in payment of tax:-
O.6% of the basic fare in case of domestic bookings and 1.2% of the basic fare in case of international bookings. This rate is effective from 19/4/2006. Ref:- Rule 6(7) and notification 17/2006 dt 25/4/2006.

This is old notification dtd 19/4/2006 .Can you let me know the latest notification after the service tax rate being reduced to 10.30% from 24th Feb 2009.

26 April 2009 The clarification give by Mr. B Chackrapani is valid and applicable as of current.

over and above the rate specified above, E cess and SHE cess will be aplicable
