New Company Formed in Jan 2010

16 March 2011 Dear all

Under the Companies Act the first accounts can be of 15 months hence if a company is formed in January 2010 we can file the AR and BS upto March 2011. But in respect of the Income tax , do we need to file the IT Return for the March 2010.
if i file IT return for March 2010 and dont file with ROC for March 2010 is it ok.

Shall i directly file IT return and Companies act return both for March 2011.

Please provide calrification

17 March 2011 yes you will need to file returns for the period from January 2010 to March 31, 2010 - Infact you will have to prepare 3 months accounts and attach the same with returns...
