Modality of service tax on maintenance of apartmt

I own an apartment where they collect service tax on the entire amount of maintenance - I am deprived of the basic exemption of rs.5000 pm all others are enjoying - can u look into this and guide me in the matter the mode of collection - whether I am entitled for exemption upto rs.5000 and amount in excess thereof will only be charged to service tax - pl clarify - thanks

Service tax payable on full amount(no basic exemption) if maintenance charge exceeds Rs. 5,000.
