Section 25 companies may be amalgamated with another section 25 companies subject to the compliance with the provisions of the Act.

It means it cannot be merged with a private company..right?? Even though they both are affiliates of each other??

04 February 2013 OK..Thanx a lot..But isn't there any other way to do the merger?? I mean by application to Govt or anything like that?? because the merger would be in the public interest..

No, because section 25 company is for specific purpose and if you are going to merge with another company then that company should also cover under section 25 Company.
