31 August 2012 Hi, I want to know that wherever is given the "central Government" word in Company Act 1956, then its meaning is "central government" or "relevant department under central Government"?

31 August 2012 Central Govt inter alia includes all its departments. Central Govt comprises of many such departments like finance, company law affairs and so on.

31 August 2012 now you need to quote the section so that a more focused answer can be given. The wordings of the sections are always to be understood with special 'reference to context". (In a lighter mood.... provision reads as HELMET must be worn while driving..... suddenly one need not ask BY WHOM?... it is understood to be DRIVER.... )

31 August 2012 for example, if a individual is already holding the post as MD in 2 company, then if 3rd company wants to appoint him as MD, then approval of CG is required. then in this case CG means?
