25 May 2012 good evening sir
in u/s 44ae if truck less than 10 than we can calculate our tax as per applicable rate 5000 for heavey and 4500 for light vechile. But if we have more than 10 truck than we will also calculate this rate 5000 for heavey and 4500 for light. I want to know only that how i will calculate our total tax liablity

25 May 2012 If you are the owner of more than 10 then 44AE is not applicable.

26 May 2012 Further to what Mr. Amit has said, to calculate your tax liability, you have to compute your total income as per the normal provisions of the Act:

Total Receipts
Less: Expenses
Less: Depreciation

On this income tax will be calculated as per the slab rates (if you are an individual or HUF).

26 May 2012 The Form 16 provided by your employer will contain a six digit number. You have to enter this number to download the form.

26 May 2012 I will issue form 16 to my employee but when i go to nsdl side he ask me enter 6 digit certificate no.

26 May 2012 That facility is for the employee to check that the employer has issued correct Form 16.

It is not for the employer.
