main hindustan lever mein contractor hoon.meri service maintenance and work contract hai.company mere work contract service bill mein total value ka 40% par service tax 6% deposit karane ke liye de rahi hai aur 6% company deposit kar rahi hai.kya yeh sahi hai. ise service tax return mein kaise show karoon.

Sahi hai....the service tax is payable on a shared basis.

Their is reverse charge on work contract where service provider is individual and service recipient is body corporate.
50% of tax is liability of service provider and 50% of sevice tax liability is on service receiver.
In your service tax return choose option yes for service provider under partial reverse charge.and choose the effective rate for you
