25 March 2010 I required a format of leave of absence to be given by a director under the Companies act 1956

25 March 2010 There is no need for using a specific format.

The letter from the director can merely state that in view of my preoccupations I will not be able to attend the board meeting to be held on ______. Kindly grant me leave of absence for the meeting.
