07 August 2014 Dear Experts,

I made E-Payment of Service Tax Liability for the month of July'2014 on 6th of August at around 10:15PM,
now the query is does it attracts any interest???? If yes, how should I pay the interest???? I have already made the E-Payment of Whole liability.

07 August 2014 Yes Interest need to be paid for 1 day delay since payment should have been made within 8 pm on 6th August.

07 August 2014 Sir,
My total Service Tax liability was Rs.9526 only.

My Interest will be Rs.3.91 [(9526*1/365)*15%]

So in this case how should I make the payment of Interest.

07 August 2014 Leave it. No need to pay any interest then. Cost of printing of challan will be more than the Interest amount.
